We are so pleased to be returning here again for next year, we feel the position of the hotel coupled with brilliant skiing for all levels makes this one of the best venues in the Alps. This coming season we are running 5 Sound Skis trips, with new dates at Christmas and February.
One difference this year is the lift pass you get with the price you pay. This year it is the Vallandry local pass that is included in the price which can be upgraded to the full Les Arcs pass for about £25. Also we are introducing a Euro fighting service of a lunch of a baguette and chocolate bar for 6 days for only £10 if you pre pay when you pay your invoice. So for those of us who might be on a tight budget the only extra expense could be on the staff night off on Wednesday.
New this year - If you would prefer to arrange your own flights we can take your luggage to the hotel and put you up in France on the Friday night so you that can still enjoy the extra day's skiing - all this for just £60.

This week also has a loyal following but we have been asked if we have a week that people new to the sport like to come on and we think this week would be best. The weather is usually warmer and conditions are good. The position of our hotel is superb for beginners as the ESF ski school drop you at the hotel and you return via the summer road from the teaching area which is a beautiful but very easy run through the trees.

We should call this the Family Favourites week as so many return year after year. This is due largely to the brilliant position of the hotel, the ski school actually drops the children off at the hotel! Again this trip fills up very quickly so book early if you can.

The prices above includes
* Luxury coach from Plymouth. If we fill the coach, pick-up points will be Sound Skis, Exeter, Heathrow and Dover only, otherwise we may have to make a detour to meet up with another group. A minimum of 15 passengers is needed to guarantee a Plymouth pick up.
We will be staying in the Hucksters Lodges I and II, which sleep 30 – 35, mostly in twin rooms with en-suite facilities. Rooms will normally be allocated on a 'first come, first served' basis to those who pay their deposits earliest. Single people may share with other singles in a (single sex) three or four person room unless alternative arrangements are made. Single rooms will incur an empty bed supplement of £100. There are also apartments available around 2 minutes walk away from the lodges - you can choose to stay in these if you prefer - for an extra £25 per head you can have four sharing a pleasant six person apartment. Please make your rooming requirements clear at the time of booking.
Vallandry 6 day lift pass. Upgrades for the full Les Arcs area or the Paradise area (includes La Plagne lifts), along with seventh day and Saturday afternoon passes will be available (see below). Hotel staff members will be happy to ski or board with you on the first few days to show you around the resort; most people find they fall into a group which suits their ability. On arrival, we will be given further information on this service, equipment hire and lessons.
* Half board accommodation. The Hucksters Lodges are situated at the top of Vallandry, so that you have wonderful views as well as doorstep skiing. They are comfortably furnished and have a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There is an adjoining on-piste bar and restaurant, with a large sunny terrace where you can enjoy some excellent al fresco lunches.
Meals include breakfast, tea/coffee and cakes after skiing and a three course dinner with wine, but the staff will usually have Tuesday or Wednesday night off, so please expect to eat out then. Those departing on a Saturday evening (usually around 6pm) will also need to make alternative dining arrangements, although the Snack Shack overlooking the piste will normally be open throughout the afternoon, serving burgers, panini, chips, etc.
The prices do not include:
* Insurance. Because so many people already have their own insurance, we have not included this in our prices, however we can provide it for a further £25. It is essential to have insurance on these trips.
* Equipment hire. If prepaid, the prices can be held at £15 for boots, £40 for skis and £55 for boards. If you wish to upgrade, you can do so in resort. Our rental equipment is another option to consider - in some cases it may be be a little more expensive, but it will be in good condition, almost certainly new this season and you'll save yourself a couple of trips to the hire shop.
* Lessons. For six, two and a half hour lessons the cost would be approximately £100 for adults and £80 for children.
* Lift pass upgrades. £20 for the full six day Les Arcs pass, £25 for each extra Saturday and £10 for a day in La Plagne
* Lunches. These will be available for £10 for the week if prepaid in UK.
* Flights. These would be around £125 including transfers. Those arranging their own flights need to be landing at Geneva or Lyons on Saturday.
* Discounts. There are lift pass related discounts for children (13 or under) and adults who are 65 or over - please contact us for more details.
